Amanda teaches the Bears Class

18 month - 2-year-olds

Amanda is in her 5th year at Triumphant Lutheran Preschool. She is from San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Communication Design. She has been active in teaching roles for over 30 years---from the church nursery & elementary Sunday School classes, to training new employees in the customer service industry, to the challenging role of homeschooling two toddlers during Covid. Teaching has always been a part of her life. She has two kids in elementary school, one of which graduated from TLP. 

Kim teaches the Fish Class

4-day older 2's class

 Kim first joined the TLP family in 2015 working as both a teacher assistant and teacher until 2022. Before that, she worked in finance, but her heart has always been in the classroom, helping little learners grow and shine. 

She is a proud wife to Matt and mother to 3 children, two of whom are adults and the youngest in high school.  Her family has deep ties to the community, and her youngest daughter is a TLP graduate.

In her spare time, you can find her attending high school football games and volunteering to support her youngest daughter who is a member of the Samuel Clemens Mighty Buffalo Band.  GO BUFFS!

She is excited to be returning to TLP and she feels blessed to have the opportunity to help your child grow and learn in a fun nurturing environment. 

Alissa teaches the Ladybug Class

Tu/W/Th 4's class

  Alissa graduated from Indiana University of PA with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.  She and her husband met in college, and he served in the military for 22 years.  They spent 2 years in Virginia, 9 years in the DC area and the past 11 years in Texas.  Alissa spent 2 years teaching in a private preschool before becoming a stay-at-home mom to their 3 children. Once their children entered elementary school, she became a substitute for 3 years before finally landing a job as a teacher's assistant here at TLP in the 2-year-old class. Last year Alissa took on a new role as a lead teacher in one of our 4's classes. She loves to work with this age group as she loves the curiosity, inquisitiveness and stories that children tell!   

Jutta teaches the Owl Class

4-day 3's class

 She grew up in Germany and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education there. She has been a teacher for around 20 years and is passionate about working with young children to help them grow and thrive. In 2022, her and her family moved from Lexington KY to New Braunfels TX.  

She is married and has two wonderful boys – one in 4th grade and the other in 1st. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family, and exploring the beautiful area she now calls home. This is her third year at TLP. She is excited to get to know all of her students and their families and to be a part of this amazing community. She's looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and fun!

Jenn teaches the Firefly Class

M/W/F 3's class

This is Jenn’s 2nd year at 

Triumphant Lutheran Preschool and her 10th year in the preschool world. She graduated from University of Arizona (Go Cats!) with a degree in

Deaf Studies and Special Education & Rehabilitation. She is a proud Army brat who

met her husband of 31 years while overseas. 

They have 3 children and 2 dogs. Jenn

loves to combine her knowledge of 

American Sign Language into the classroom. 

She’s thankful for little learners and big adventures of preschool!

Tyleen teaches the Butterfly Class

Kindergarten

 Tyleen graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education.  Because of her husband’s Air Force career, she has been able to teach for more than 13 years in many different places.  She has taught in Illinois, Georgia, Colorado, Alabama, Germany, and now Texas. While she has taught many grades, her favorite is Kindergarten…it’s such a year of growth and fun.  She is married and has four children.  Her two oldest sons attend the University of Florida. She also has a son at Randolph High School and a daughter at Randolph Middle School.  She is excited to join the Triumphant Lutheran family.  

Kristin teaches the Llama Class

M/W/F 4's class

 Kristin graduated from Martin Luther college with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught first grade for one year before getting married. She and her husband, Dave have 7 children, 4 of whom attended TLP. Besides teaching preschool, Kristin enjoys teaching music lessons from home.

Ashley teaches the Turtle Class

M/W & Tu/Th Older 2's

 Ashley graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Biology. She met her husband in college, and he is now in the Air Force Reserves. She is a proud mom of three beautiful children. Her oldest is graduating in December and will be playing soccer at Concordia University. Her middle child is a freshman, and the youngest is starting kindergarten.  She is so excited to bring her education and experience as a mom into the classroom and be part of helping children learn, grow, and have fun.

Kristina teaches the Bee Class

4-day Enrichment 4's class

 Kristina originally attended Texas A&M University, where she met Jack. They fell in love and got married. He joined the Air Force, which sent them to Pensacola, FL for training.  She was able to transfer to the University of West Florida, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has taught various grades but decided she enjoys pre-K the most.  

"Four- and five-year-olds have an eagerness to learn and are so fun!" 

She and Jack have three children.  The youngest two are TLP graduates.
